A Brief Look
Brussels Seafood Show is a straightforward affair – it’s the natural meeting point for the supply and demand for seafood in Northern Europe, although the international trade fair has a big international appeal among seafood buyers and seafood suppliers. First held in 1993 at the Brussels Expo, it’s been a mainstay every year ever since and has become as respectable in part of it being co-located with the SEAFOOD PROCESSING GLOBAL. The proof is in the numbers as last year’s edition brought in 29,100 buyers, who came from 152 countries. Booths were rented out to 1940 exhibitors from 78 countries.
An Industry Profile
Brussels Seafood Show covers the entire production chain from fresh catch to processed food items and technologies. You will find fresh fish and seafood alongside value-added seafood, frozen fish and seafood, and processed and packaged fish and seafood. Outside the food items, the exhibition covers processing and packaging equipment, freight forwarders and logistical services. As an exhibitor, you have a wealth of choice in terms of buyers as the audience is comprised of representatives of the airline, fast food chains, distributors, cruise lines, caterers, wholesalers, resorts and grocery chains. A program highlight that’s not to be missed is the Seafood Excellence Global Awards Competition!
