The 2019 edition's motto was “Trust In You”. The motto showcased the event's primary focus on discussing the importance of trust in digital marketing. Around 1000 exhibitors from 40 countries attended the fair. The conference programme featured over 600 speakers, with 35% of them being women. DMEXCO19 featured 4 curated stages, 9 conference formats, and over 150 seminars. The conference sessions were available to all attendants via in-person visits and live-streaming. Among the leading events was the second edition of the SevenVentures Pitch Day — an international competition for innovative start-ups. The event took place between 11.09.2019 and 12.09.2019 at Messe Cologne.
DMEXCO20 was the first digital edition of the event. The format change was necessary because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Its motto was “Attitude matters”. During the rendition, decision-makers could discuss what attitude demonstrations mean for the industry. The event took place between 23.09.2020 and 24.09.2020. Over 20,000 participants, 260 partners and over 800 speakers attended. The conference schedule included over 160 hours of information. The platform often had over 10000 participants attend at the same time. 56% of attendees opted to use audio and video calls and sent over 60000 messages. An average of 230 viewers attended each conference session.
DMEXCO21 was the second rendition to take place in digital format. As with DMEXCO20, this was a necessary step because of the ongoing pandemic. The edition featured 20,600 visitors, 11 conference streams and 600 speakers. 47% of speakers were women, with the conference agenda including over 150 hours of information. Discussion topics varied from the end of third-party data to humanised technology. DMEXCO21 took place between 7.09.2021 and 8.09.2021.
