COVID-19 derailed plans to host Posidonia 2020 due to travel restrictions and global lockdowns. Posidonia Exhibitions S.A. decided on waiting out the worst of the pandemic and postpone the fair until its next regular slot in 2022. The international shipping trade fair is planning its comeback for June 6th – June 10th at Athens Metropolitan Expo in Athens, Greece. Organisers share their hope that the coronavirus pandemic will be under control by then and it will be possible to hold a large trade event of Posidonia’s scale safely. The 2022 edition is in its early planning stages and cutting-edge protective measures will be put in place at the exhibition grounds.
